Established in 1910, this Chamber has been a pivotal part of UK – BE relations working closely with the business community, bilateral embassies and local government agencies.
More than 400 British companies have a commercial presence in Belgium and the UK is consistently a top-5 investor in the Country. Belgium is the 7th largest export market for the UK and the UK is the 8th largest export market for Belgium.
SETTING THE AGENDA
As a member-led organisation, our activities and policy programme are driven through committees, which are made up of active members of the Chamber.
All BritCham Belgium members are encouraged to participate in ourcommittee meetings and events programme so that they are able to join the conversations and help shape the direction of our work.
Governed and guided by the cross-chamber Policy Council, our BritCham Belgium committees cover bilateral trade and investment and all aspects of doing business in Belgium.
When BritCham Belgium is asked to take a policy ‘position’ on any specific issue, the Policy Council will submit recommendations to ultimately be approved by the Board of the British Chamber of Commerce EU & Belgium.
