BNG - EU elections 2024 – how can young voters influence the results?

Registrations are closed

Join us for a panel discussion on the upcoming EU elections on 13 February at the Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP offices (Bastion Tower (24 floor), Place du Champ de Mars 5, Porte de Namur 1050).

2024 will be a pivotal year for the European Union, with millions of Europeans heading to the polls for the European Parliament elections in June 2024. Current predictions suggest conservative and far-right parties are likely to succeed over socialist and green groups, as issues like migration, high energy prices and economic uncertainty push the electorate to support new, more extremist groups. Can young voters counter the rise in support for these parties? If the current polls are correct, what will the future policies of the EU look like? In our EU elections 2024 event, sponsored by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, our experts will be debating possible outcomes for the elections, the key political priorities for the future, and whether young people can sway the vote.
