BNG workshop with Debating Europe

Join us for a BNG Members-only Workshop with Debating Europe! It will be an opportunity to debate in a friendly, non-judgemental  atmosphere; to learn valuable skills on how to construct a good argument; to discuss the most pressing topics on EU and international affairs with participants from all over Europe. 

About the workshop

The workshop will provide an accessible understanding of the role of a think tank, such as Friends of Europe, and its citizen engagement unit, Debating Europe, in EU policy making and the so-called ‘Eurobubble’. 

Moreover, the workshop will inspire the participants to become more engaged and active citizens by letting them experiment a Debating Europe-led focus group discussion on the topic of ‘democracy’, which could include discussions such as future of the EU, enlargement, election results etc.

Debating Europe

Debating Europe,  the citizen engagement unit of independent think tank Friends of Europe, is tasked with harnessing the collective intelligence of citizens across the EU to generate and road-test policy ideas for a Renewed Social Contract for Europe by 2030. 

Since 2019, Debating Europe organises focus groups to understand the opinions of Europeans, to crowd source ideas, to develop policy recommendations, and to inspire future activities.
